Let me know how your Dockside comes out. The parts engine that I used has a can motor in and I was thinking about trying to get that running. It need a bottom frame that the wheels sit in and also the wheel set with the gear.

Was using this GP/DD35 at an op session a week or so ago, took a couple pictures, and decided to give this photo editing software (gimp) a try.
A lot to learn about this stuff, man there are so many options, I can see me wasting a bunch of time on this kinda stuff, alot to learn for me, it's all good.

Here's a little Bachmann 2-6-0 that my son gave me as a present. He knows nothing about model railroads but knows that I do like smaller steam locomotive.

Unfortunately it is quite wimpy on my 2 percent grades with a limit of about 5 cars. Found that it could pull a couple of passenger coaches up the grade so that will probably be what is will be assigned to.

The loco has DCC with sound and I operate DC. The sounds were probably pre programmed, but do work on DC. I have no control at all of the sound. Take a ride along with the little guy.

Put some frog snot on some of the wheels and it will pull 18 cars up that grade.

Would probably work, but for my local freights of 8 to 12 cars, I have a fleet of Alcos that usually do the duties. I also hate to put anything on the wheels of anything.

I have this little teakettle and thought I was on to something, pulling the Railroads presidents one or two car train on inspection trip.

Just couldn't resist doing a Southern Pacific SD-40 with the number 8444. The SD-40's on the SP were in the 8400 series so I just had to do this one just to give the Yello Peril people something to have a fit about[IMG]

Here's another oldie. This is a Walthers locomotive. Got it when they first came out. Growing up with the Milwaukee Road, I can't remember seeing many clean locomotives, except for the Hiawathas. This was their economy locomotive line, but with a little tweaking, it has turned into one excellent running locomotive.

I sure miss seeing these little MILW luggers. They could get right down and pull.
