I picked these up over the last few weeks. The plywood car at the Branson Hobby Center open house over the weekend and the gon and Frisco caboose at the Broken Arrow OK. Train show the Thanksgiving weekend.

The plywood car is a Walters RTR, the gon is a Walters old run and the caboose I'd Athearn Bev-Bel paint.

There is a problem with living an hour and a half from the nearest hobby shop, when I go in there I always end up spending more than I planned to. Besides these 3 bueaties, I brought back enough wheel sets to convert 25 more cars to metal wheels, another Soundtraxx Sound Car decoder, Current Keeper, and a power pick-up truck. Glad it's cold weather, I don't sit around watching TV this way. image.jpg
I hope everyone one had a great holiday!

It seems you can't spot a car these days without someone tagging it!

I really don't know why I bought this Spectrum locomotive, but for $100, I guess I can't go wrong. It will have to be relettered for my Logan Valley and heavy weathering should be done to it also. It's too long for my 90 foot turntables, but I have this thing about articulated locomotives. I think I can get away with using this locomotive for through freights.

You may need to design a wye somewhere on the layout.

If I modelled US steam era I would definitely do C&O. They had some wonderful beefy locomotives!

I have absolutely no room to install a wye anywhere. Guess I'll have to use an 0-5-0. I also agree with Alan, the C&O did have some beautiful steam locomotives. That's probably one of the reasons I got it.

This locomotive will probably be used to take trains from either yard to hidden staging and back. Just had to have it.

Another day and another parcel. I picked up a few PWRS grain cars. Quite a upgrade from my old intermountain cars.

My recent purchase was Kadee code 88 wheelsets, both 33" and 36", plus some more #148 'whisker' couplers.

    Peir,

Just don't spot them at the port, I can't guarantee they will leave clean! Things have come a long way, the detailing is amazing! Nice cars!

Graffiti is the sad part of modelling modern railroads.

Love the D&H Lightning Stripes! CSX got a couple of their GP39s from them. One day I will get around to modeling one.

    Wow!

Nice stuff showing up here. That NS dash 9 looks amazing;would love to see it on the layout.

As to that spectrum articulated: I think the spectrum line has always been under rated. They really do run nicely and have phenomenal detail. Congrats on that score.
