I picked this up on ebay Saturday morning. I got it in the mail today. Walthers Trainline GP 15-1. I picked it up for less than $40.00 including the shipping. It does not look like it was ever run on a layout. This one was purchased because my 4YO engineer kept looking at my old Frisco Calendar and saying "pawpaw we neeed one of those!" I guess we did! LOL I have to admit he has good taste in livery paint. I installed the little parts tonight, painted the hand rails and took a peek inside, it has plenty of room for a chip. We will be using it next time he comes over. This one will stay clean for a while.
Frisco Love Frisco , I have 3 red-white ones and one black w/yellow hand rails. Just recently picked up 15 coal cars in Frisco as kits. Been long time since I built models...Made my own coal loads from foam.
Just received a NEO ford F-100. I have to say, its a little above what I would typically put on a layout. But its a very nice little truck.
It is amazing the detail on things these days! That F-100 looks like you could drive it away. Yes it is very nice. And, yes Charlie he is a smart kid. He runs a mean switch engine.
Air activated LCL containers. http://forum.atlasrr.com/forum/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=55643&whichpage=2
Thanks for the reply. Matt told his 4 year old they carried gravy! So should there be an air pipe up the side to a valve? Alan www.andersley.co.uk
I thought they pulled them from the car with the lugs on the top edges, and applied the air at a low point, but it's been decades since I read up on it, long before google and algore. I had a bunch of them in Lionel cars back then, wanted to know what they were. I think I pitched them all and just used empty gons for other things.
Does horse-trading count? Not exactly purchases, but horse-trading, some of my N scale stock for a friend's HO. Two of the items I picked up in the swap were a BLMA yard office and an ExactRail bridge, the one with the wire walkway along the rails. Speaking of which, no rails on the bridge, but I have plenty of cde 83 and 70 I can use, and he has a couple more I may look at (I only need one extra to go over a four-lane highway in HO). Everything else was Digitrax decoders, rolling stock, and an Atlas Trainman GP38-2 in BN colors (which I have something sinister in mind........). 220 bucks of stuff traded out for the cost of just the gas burned to get to my buddy's home & back (total consumption there, about 75 cents). Seriously, I've become a fan of BLMA and Exactrail stuff, as well as Blair Line building kits. I'm not sidelining any of my old blue-box stuff yet, but I gotta admit the detail of the newer cars ain't too shabby.
You could have least got the 350 with the duallys and the turbo! LOL you have a very nice collection going!
