I was looking for a building to occupy a certain space and really couldn't find exactly what I wanted so this cafe was built from scratch, even the windows and door. There are only a few detail castings such as the cash register, phone, chairs, radio pot belly stove and figures. It does have an illuminated interior of course.
Really awesome interior. Now I am waiting for some plated food on the tables to really complete the scene. Do they make ketchup bottles an napkin dispensers in HO?
Try down near the bottom of this page for some food for your LPBs http://www.vectorcut.com/accessoriesHO.htm Great job on your cafe!
Plates with food and silverware were added. These pictures were taken years ago. Thanks for the website. I have one more town I am starting and it will have buildings with interiors, and I'm sure another eatery will be among them.
That reaffirms my desire to have all my buildings with lighted interiors, and I have a long main street to do, could take a while but if my results are anywhere near that good then I will be a very happy man indeed.
What a super cafe. I have never had a fully fitted interior in any building on any layout. I should try to rectify that, especially if I add interior lighting! Inspiration indeed
Interior lighting was added. Here's a few more buildings that I have put an interior in. Some are kits, but it doesn't take too much.
The first thought coming into mind as I see these lit buildings, is they remind me of a years ago. A tranquil small town summer evening, just as dusk began coming on.
Those buildings are wonderful! Never done anything like that. I should make the effort with at least one or two buildings.
Wow, that is really nice. Would love to hear how you built the tables and cabinets. Looks like the bar stools are cut off nails?? I have a Summit Cuts Taco Bell that really needs an interior. Thanks for that link. Never heard of them before, but they have lots of those cool accessories that every town needs. Brian
The chairs were soft metal castings. The tables were built from scratch using sheet and strip styrene. The wall paper and flooring I found in a craft store. The pictures on the wall were small pictures I found somewhere and then were framed. You are right about the stools being cut off nails. The cabinets are just painted wood shapes with the door drawn on with a pen. When you're cheap, it's amazing how resourceful you can get.
