Lets hope, last I talked with a Kato rep, he said that undecs would not be produced anymore. This would be good news if it were true since some of us still prefer to paint our own stuff. Just looked at their website, no undec announced as of 2/15. Oh well, thats what 91% alcohol is for.

Hmmm, maybe I should reserve a couple for MILW paint jobs. That would likely be the early production, since MILW wasn't around long enough to be mid-production.
Agreed...I wish they would release the mid-production as non-DB too. I wound up making a pair using GP40-2 grilles and adding brake wheels. Assuming Kato won't release a non-DB version due to just a few roads that had them, corrugated radiator grilles would be a nice brass detail part that can be added after shaving off the chicken wire grilles.
How about painted in MP and RI as well as the yellow MP and UP W/O DB's. And other roads non dynamo too.

I know there have been a few threads griping about Kato lately, but I'm wondering why Kato elected to produce an NS Seaboard unit which (as far as I know) has only one prototype, instead of just an NS scheme. The past releases in NS livery are darn hard to come by, and those that pop up on eBay go for an arm and a leg. I know, whine, whine, whine... (Hint: If anyone has one they don't need anymore drop me a line :cute

That's a really good question! Almost comical at this point. Last I heard it is now June, the year 2013. Everything else that has been announced since the original announcement in late 2010/early 2011 seems to have been produced. It would also be really nice if FVM would post updates on their website but he won't/doesn't. I'm seriously thinking about cancelling my 10 unit order; not that it would have any affect of FVM. Sorry about the rant.. P.S. I don't want to hear about the excuse that he is a one man show, China production problems....... Communication via his website with updates would be pretty simple

Not everyone uses or goes to Facebook. Burying an announcement on another website and not his own is foolish at best. Would be nice if people read a post before replying...JMO YMMV.
