I downloaded this appp on my phone last month and I never really played around with it until tonight. Not only does it pick the correct decoder for each need, it also has a cv code calculator that you just touch what you want in each cv and it calculates the total for that cv that you need to place. I didn't see anyone mention this before so it may help anyone new to dcc as I am.
I downloaded the app on my IPod Touch and I found out it only works if there is a WiFi connection available. It should be OK on a phone. It is not of much interest to me as it is only good for Digitrax products. In addition I already programmed my own app for CV17 & CV18, CV21, CV22 and a Decimal calculator. CV29, I only use a value of 34.
