Stainless steel finish question

    Are there any tips for improving the stainless steel look of the earlier Kato passenger cars, mine look silver / white rather than stainless steel. I don't want to repaint and re decal but wondered if there was a laquer type product that I can over spray?

    I don't have the issue handy, but there was an article in N-Scale Railroading a few years ago where the author was using an overspray to better match the newer Kato units.

    I wonder if a thin coat if clear semi-gloss would restore the luster.
