I've been playing around with the decoder (believe its a 123 series (aka the cheap one, no sound) settings in my shunt engine.
I think I finally got it driving the way and speeds I like with settings of
cv2 -low speed- set at 2
    cv6 - mid speed- set at 68
cv 5- high speed- set at 120
cv 3- acceleration- set at 4
cv 4- deceleration- set at 3

The thing is and I am not sure if it was like this before or not but it does not move until you hit 1/3rd throttle.
    Can this be changed?
I tried moving it between the 28 and 128 speed step options and found no change.

I should add i set this with it on the dedicated/isolated programming track in direct mode.

One of the things you can try is to tell the decoder to use the Speed Tables, and then you can use trim to increase power delivered to the motor. Set CV66 to a number greater than 128. Keep inching it up until you get the throttle response you want.

But before you do that, set CV3 and CV4 to zero and see if you are just not waiting for the momentum to get rolling.
