That is a very fine tutorial! The styrene idea is something I'd never even imagined.

Great video. I definitely picked up some tips to incorporate into mine one day. I think you said you would, but please do be as detailed on the wiring!!!

Since I was scolded by Digitrax for my wiring method , you may not want to see it but that is a good idea I had forgotten about.

    Mike-

Just a silly thought- Maybe you could put a link in your signature here, which would take us to an index of all of your tutorials? I know they are on your web site, but such would shoot us straight to all these goodies. There's some really good information available. We could just click on "Mike's Tutorials" and be there to browse for some helpful hint or idea.

Hmmmmmmmmmm...was was that Mike ? Because you are a Digitrax dealer and they didnt like you 'going against the Digitrax grain' as far as wiring things up ? I hate "Dictators' !!!!!! I already dont buy their decoders....and I could easily sell my Digitrax DCC system and by another brand just because of their attitude sometimes.

I dont wanna get ya in trouble so best not to reply to this....LOL.

    Just hadda vent...know what I mean ? ;-)

They really didn't scold me it was just a discusion with our rep..
I go from my panel to each block with a 24 ga. wire and the trains run fine but the resistance will not let the Digitrax short circuit protection work correctly so I burned up a couple locos before I installed a DCC Specialties block protector in the outgoing DCC line.

Add another big "Thank you!" to the list, Mike! We appreciate the work it takes to make such a video, and it was very interesting to learn how to create a unique and attractivce control panel. I especially want to say thanks for mentioning the A-West applicators as I was not aware of them, and they look like they are EXACTLY what I need to apply Plastructs Plastic Weld. I have some glass tube applicators, but they only work on thin glues like testors. A set of A-West applicators will soon be on their way to me :)
