I have an old Mantua Pennsy 0-4-0 only because I thought it was a neat little switcher (and that the only other switcher I had was one of those Model Power 0-4-0Ts).
2 GG1's from Kato. Unique and historical engines. Model Chicago area so they don't quite fit in but I do have the BL to pull.
I bought the Athearn Model after staying in the real one at the Izzak Walton Inn. At some point I hope to have it renumbered to match.
I model ATSF/DRGW in transition.... but I have a KATO GEVO ES44AC in Demonstrator scheme just because when my coworkers walk in, they go "HEY!" (I work for GE as a services engineer in Erie).
Why? Because it was my first ever N Scale Loco. I don't have any real plans of running, but has a ton of sentimental value.
While my fleet is largely consistent, it does have some oddballs in my HO fleet: (1) Various F7s and an F9 (I model the modern era); (2) a U6B (GE export model?), bought at a train show. Don't recall the manufacturer. (3) Athearn Special Edition SW1500 NS 1733, the "Riverfront Rambler." (4) Athearn Special Edition Chessie GM50. This is the sole survivor of a purge of my fleet of Chessie/CSX equipment a couple of years ago. Dieter Zakas
I own a Pennsy K4 pacific, an L1 Mikado and a I1 decapod, all in HO because there are none in N scale. I am seriously considering selling all my N scale stuff and going HO as others have done.
Some REALLY cool stuff here !!! I have three of the CRI&P BL2's. One in maroon, two in The Rocket scheme. Also, I have a BN U30CG by Minitrix. This thing is ancient, but is a better runner than alot of my new stuff. I also have the Aerotrain. Needs some tuning, but I like it. Had to have Kato GG1's when Kato did those in PC. In my strange world, the PC flourished and Conrail never existed. So, the Bicentennial GG1 will have "Conrail" removed and "PC" applied. GF got me the Kato "Silver Streak Zephyr" for Xmas. Beautiful train, but the only thing I can think of is "excursion train" !!! Now... if I could just find a CRI&P AB6 and a PC Turbo-Train in N scale !!!
