I though what better way to say thanks to Randy then to show what we do with his kits.

    great post John!

Ok. I do not think I have any direct pics of the buildings I have built, so I will try to get some good pics this weekend and update my layout, but I have some vehicles I know I took.

I think I was the first one to write to Randy after his announcement because I happen to be up late when it popped up in my inbox. Of course I told him he was letting us all down for robbing us of his fine kits. But seriously, I had a lot of fun making his kits and I sold nearly all I had done but failed to get pictures of them all. For the photos I did find there more more than I thought so I made a collage. Brought back a lot of memories since I haven't made anything for fun in years due to business. Which leads me to this; Randy, you and Karen have the time of your lives out there on the many ribbons of highways in this country. Be safe, come and visit, find trains, think up more ideas, and when you get that out of your system you can get back to work!!!

Been looking for a school bus at my local train stores with no success. Who's the Mfgr. or online supplier of the one shown in the photo?

Well, Karin couldn't take a larger picture, but I guess she had a close up that was bigger. Does that make me a fibber at least?

Alaska Railroader---I for one especially appreciate your larger size pictures because I just bought one of those little stations and I haven't started building it yet. Now I can use yours, which looks great, for a guide, and I'll be happy if mine turns out to look half as nice. I just discovered Randy's models, and I hope he enjoys his travels, although I'm disappointed that he won't be offering any more of his creations. In any case, I'd point out that people like Randy have often brought a lot of fun and satisfaction into the lives of hobbyists by providing us with those special layout details that would have been otherwise unavailable. The addition of one small item (like a little rural station, for example) can made an enthusiastic modeler feel good for a whole week. So thanks, Randy---you've done some good work. You've helped people enjoy the hobby.

    Thanks Randy!

Thank you Randy for your outstanding kits. You've helped give our layouts such wonderful detail. And helped give us Z scale guys great happiness.
May your new life be filled with fun and happiness.
