Nice models, you must be on the Rustbucket Forums, too as a couple pictures look familiar. Thanks for sharing!
Its really nice to see somebody extremely detail and weather vehicles, most of what I see is stock or slightly modified pieces on layouts.
Mostly just Mig Products dark wash and Tamiya powders. After that, and i kid you not, it's a complete guessing game...with plenty of swearing and evil looks from the old lady.
I used the Lonestar decals I had left because I liked the look of the decal. The name itself wouldn't be something you'd see in the states. I've been meaning to get ride of the text.
I only have a few, but I purchased them already detailed and weathered. I'm more of a vehicle/truck guy to be quite honest. When I first started this hobby in 2007, I was young (only 22), broke, and living at home with my parents. I didn't have any room for a layout (trains/track, etc) so I figured I'd make a small diorama for a few of the vehicles I owned. Now that in combination with growing up around trucks (my father being a truck driver), I found myself attached to the vehicle/truck scene (also thanks to 1-87vehicles.org). Now the little extra money I have goes to either my 87 Grand National GNX fund, or 1:87 scale vehicles to tinker with. Anyway, in time I plan on building a layout, with trains, track etc...
Great looking trucks! You should do a project thread sometime so we can see your techniques in action. 2slim
I'm currently working on two more snow plows, but you can also see more pictures of my work at Fotki.com just look for member Niteryder315
my first thought was WOW! Really nice looking truck models you've built, A+++ work in fact. Then I read you use mig's products. I've always been a big fan of his work with military weathering. And occasionally post links to his tutorials. Nice to see someone else noticed that his work and techniques are perfect for other types of modeling.
