RS-1: Atlas Vs. Kato shell swap?

    Hi guys! I am curious, will the newer Atlas "Classic" RS-1 shells (closed pilots) fit on the older Kato RS-1 shells (open pilots)? Thanks in advance!

    Straight acroos swap once you cut the couplers off of the Kato trucks

    I have one which is using the new style chassis and handrail set and sill unit and the older Kato body. Everything fits together and works fine.
