Off topic... could you guys find any larger smilies? These things are bigger than most Z scale freight cars. Do we honestly need such enormous, space-wasting faces in our post? Come on, guys there are hundreds of sets to choose from, so why pick the ones for the visually handicapped?
Here. Oldies but goodies. And if Z scale freight cars are no bigger than the smilies we use now, it's probably a good thing I model in HO scale Hope these work for you.
I don't want to stir the pot but I kinda like them. I wouldn't mind seeing a mixture of different sized ones. See ya Ron
Having been a stickler for the leading between lines (pronounced ledding, i.e., the spacing, for when linotypes used hot lead to set newspaper text, which may have contributed to my brain being addled) for 47 years since my first job in the printing industry, I have to do what's natural: I just don't use them. Orange type and oversized smilies ain't worth the battle. I'll bet there is simple code to downsize those big smilies. I think that's also not worth the battle. Just use the smaller smilies.:cute: Ooops. And to think TB once worried about too large signature sizes above 140 pixels high! Ooops?
Oh dear! I just read the instructions to post the small smilies. That is one way to make sure the oversized stuff stays in circulation. I was delighted when the "turtles" finally turtled off somewhere, but it looks like change is a very gradual process. Sooo in another 6 to xxx months we may arrive at normal sized smilies? And when we do, please do not forget to add this one (known as "Tongue in Cheek") it would come in handy in many instances.
More to the point, do we really NEED to populate posts with smilies, frownies or other various unnecessary symbols? I mean, what are we, teenage girls? Just because we can, doesn't mean we have to...
