I guess this old juice jack from the 50's or 60's doesn't have window washing fluid. A guy actually has to get out there and do it .

I used to not mind graffiti that much, man that old loco is tagged up something horrible.

lol, typical, one guy doing all the work and another, standing on the platform, telling him what he's doing wrong. Must be a government controlled section of the railroad.

Looks like someone needs to pull a few weeds, too.

This same kind of thing goes on in the private sector, too. You get one guy opening up a hole in the wall, another guy assisting by picking up debris and handing him tools, and then a minimum of four or five standing around with clipboards and digital cameras documenting all of this.

looked like the guy standing on the dock was talking to the engineer in the cab. then the guy in the cab hands the guy on the dock some paper ( money ?) and away the guy on the dock and the ww guy leave ... kinda like getting a window washing in LA when rush hour traffic stalls to a stop , some of those kids are pretty fast with wash and a wipe ! I used to drive freight out of OC to LAX back in the late 70's and they be pretty fast , even on trucks sometimes.

Considering the general condition of the unit, that may be how they wash them now - why have fancy racks that scrub the whol ethins clean, just get a guy with a bucket, a pole, and a squeegee!

Maybe these are the railroad equivalent of the squeegee guys in NY City, who clean your windshield when you stop at a traffic light, then demand payment. Or maybe they are NY squeegee guys on vacation!! Who are railfans!!!!
