Wonder what kind or ribbon ya wear to raise awareness for this- Z scale flex track? (note- I lifted this from a quote on Facebook, and editied some of the wording)
I actually saw a variation of this very same "warning" from two long-gone hobby shops- the Golden Spike in Ft. Smith, AR, and Bobbye Hall's in Dallas. I thought it was funny back then, and I still think it's funny now, I don't care who ya are.... :cute: IIRC, the medical name for this serious "disorder" is ferroequinophilia. There are two strains, one for fullsize and one for miniature. Many patients are infected with both strains simultaneously, and some more severe than others. Frequent attempts to curb such outbreaks have met with failure, and more virulent strains from Asia are arriving on our shores even as we speak. The usual agent of travel for this Asian strain is a curious creature known as the "container ship".
Excellent timing...at this moment I am drinking coffee from a cup that reads: MODEL RALROADING IS NOT JUST A HOBBY, IT'S A POTENTIAL HOUSEHOLD HAZARD! Below that is a graphic showing tracks running through every room in a house. Do you think my sons, ages 52 and 50, are trying to humor their "Old Man"?
Like them both, first one will be printed large by son-in-law and hung in my special room. Hope this does not irritate She who must be obeyed. :teeth:
The ribbon, shaped like the ones issued for every other cause, should be made up of roadbed, rails and ties twisted in the usual shape. I guess you could do that with flex track? :cute:
O that it were of my doing, so I could make a T=shirt with this. If you have a color printer (or even a black & white one(, you have yourself a ready-made poster for your train room.
