Just read an email which said the EBT will not be operating this year. Anyone know what is happening, other than no agreement reached? Sad news if true.
It is true that the owners and operators could not reach an agreement and so no train operations are planned this year. However, things are not over at the EBT. Friends of the EBT will, with the enthusiastic endorsement of the owner, continue their restoration program. The remaining sessions this year are: June 2-3 June 23-24 July 14-15 August 4-5 August 25-26 September 22-23 November 10-11 This spring the Blacksmith Shop was righted and restoration of the complete building is well on its way. Repair work is also progressing on the Locomotive Shop and Combine #14. Consider joining us for a session or a day or donating to our restoration fund.. http://www.febt.org/donate.html#b We need your help now more than ever. The trolley museum will be operating normally.

Chris, Thanks for the information. I am glad to see restoration continue apace. I know from some volunteering with old machinery at Antique Powerland in Brooks, Oregon, that there is always lots of work to do. Adam
