Another weekend is past, hope you got everything done you set out to do.

No modeling for me this weekend as the the settling back into home life continues. The layout is up and in the home office, but no trains have run yet. That will soon change.

How about you? Any club activities? Train shows? Maybe some more detailing projects were completed or track work was finished. Whatever your accomplishments were, let us know how you did and post pictures if you like. We'll do it all over again this Friday, the 11th.

    High Greens!

I got down to my towns museum Saturday and I installed a snapper to power the switches from the MRC power pack. The snapper solved the power drain problem caused by throwing the two switches at the same time as the reversing module is trying to reverse power on the main while the loco is moving.

Went to the Ottawa Train Expo. Nice venue, large and airy, though I was expecting a bit more used stuff. I did pick up a P1K C-Liner B unit, tools and some detail parts.

And it was a nice drive on a sunny spring day. Very therapeutic.

@sandro: you even have a spot for beer. You've got your priorities straight! :D

This morning (Literally an hour before this thread was posted) I got my friend's engines and layout to break in my new centerbeam car. But I got part of my engine shed mocked up. The new Plated Budd Sleeper had her crappy Kadee knock offs replaced with authentic Kadees and I got another piece of track laid down. Not much but meh. I don't do a lot to rush, I work little by little so I don't burn myself out on the hobby. I've been known to do that on other things before.

I got two new container sizes set up for the grassinator.

I also played with some ceiling tiles on the new HCD layout.

I came down with a cold, one of those annoying head-and-cough things that makes it hard to concentrate or do much of anything. About all I did was install some parking meters along the street, and add a few figures. Not very productive, I'm afraid.

If nothing else, though, I finally removed Santa from his spot in front of the station. It always takes so long for some people to take their decorations down.

A first train arrives at Esperanza from Pueblo / Salt Lake City staging. But there's still some wiring.

    mike,

if you look closer you'll notice a foldable cup-holder (this black boxy thing right of the digitrax panel). that is the right position for the beer ....

Well, I applied a very small amount of drywall compound around a tunnel portal that had been poorly installed. It has been annoying me and the VP of the club for a year and with the Vineyard done, I finally got annoyed enough on Saturday to fix it.

Last night I did a first pass painting the fix so that it wouldn't look horrible for the Berryfest this weekend.

Glued down a section of foam base down to a cleared off area of bench work on the second level. Moved about 150 cars from the top level to the newly installed foam base on the second level. Glued down a large section of foam base on the top level of the layout. I would like to start on track plans and rolling mill construction, but I still need to hand lay the yard lead and main track on the bottom level. Oh, so much to do!
