bristolman - I'm not exactly a grizzled veteran around here or in the hobby, but one thing about the nature of it is that there are a million ways to do something to solve a problem. A specific detailed description of what you're working with would help, pictures are helpful too.

ok , bought a used athearn ac4400 engine with a bad shell ( things broken ) . found out from athearn that a c44-9w shell would fit the ac4400 , so i was able to find one . the shell i received has no lights in it so i thought i would put in a set of headlights front and rear . so where do i find the necessary ( lens holder / led lights to go in lens holder ) ? some people gave me a site ( details west ) to get things but it only has their part numbers with no pictures to even know what you were buying . do i have to punch out the lens cover thats there to put in one that has the light put into it . train show tomorrow so hoping to find help there .

Can't you use the parts from your scrap AC4400 shell? If the C44 is going to be the same RR as the AC then I'd think the lighting would be the same or similar.
If you're fussier than that you'll need to dig up some prototype pictures to see what lights are needed.
