Got a Russian Just bought this sweet Bachmann Frisco 2-10-0 Russian Decapod, DCC equipped, for only $50 from a fellow Frisco modeler. Thanks to him! It also takes 18" curves with no trouble. Here she sits at Greenbrier, MO on my layout. Now I need to add a Tsunami sound decoder and all will be well.

I just got two U.P. FVM Gevo's. They run quiet and nice and the detail is also great on them. Way to go FVM. Also have some of they're Trinity CEFX hoppers on reserve waiting to be released.
JimJ, it's still a nice engine. I kinda' thought something was up when you said it would take 18" radius with no problem !!!
I probably won't run it very often. I model the WP from about 1970 until the merger. I tried to tell myself that I didn't need the Heritage unit, even though I loved it. I did order the UP Challenger fantrip version of #3985 and found a video on Youtube of it and #1983 in the Feather River Canyon together. SOLD!
Picked a really nice custom NS SD40-2 in the horse head scheme. Not sure if it right, but it looks great and that is all that matters to me.
I stopped by Chuck's on my way to have a wonderful Father's Day dinner with my daughter in Modesto. I picked up a few goodies while I was there. I had ordered a Micro-Trains WP ACF covered hopper. Micro-Trains has been pretty good to us WP modelers: I also found an Athearn PS Erie covered hopper: And, finally, an Exact Rails Santa Fe PS covered hopper: Yes, I have a covered hopper fetish!
Just purchased a Bachmann NYC F7A and B set to match my other F7A-B-B set. All different road #'s. Also a Bachmann NYC 4-6-0 with DCC.
Rattle can of spray hobby adhesive. I got it because I was working on repairing fence at church-owned house, buzzed by bees oir hornets (not sure which). An exterminator taught me quick solution was not poison but spray adhesive that sticks their little wings together and "grounds" them. What does this have to do with model railroading? After I finished volunteer task, I came home and used spray adhesive to put ground foam on a whole munch of miniature trees. Had been putting off project because I didn't have the spray glue.
Yesterday I finally got fed up with KATO couplers on my locos. Took my four locos (I'm a newbe) to a shop and had them replace the couplers. Smartest thing I have done. Yes...I know, but I don't have the patience to mess with something as small as couplers, leave that to professionals. What a shame KATO puts such poor couplers on their locos.
Picked up three engines that came in the mail today. Got them used off the bay. Haven't had a chance to run them yet (tomorrow) but they look nice. Came with original cases and paper work and the couplers upgraded to Micro-Trains. The two GP-7s are Atlas and the SW9/1200 is a Life-Like. Hope they run as good as they look!
I got one of the Kato SD40-2 NS Maersk-Sealand. I saw that they were sold out almost everywhere, and had to swoop one before they were all gone!
My Kato GG-1 (green) Came from UPS today.......yes! Now I can haul my Broadway Limited with tuscan red or green!
