Just received Kato ABA BN F3s and 6-car set of BN smooth-side passenger cars. Recently picked up a BN lot off Ebay: two GP9s, a GP35, three M/T 40' box cars, M/T flat, and an old Kadee wood caboose. Dupage show is tomorrow, so I hope I have a long list to post in the evening !!!
Just back from Dupage show. Got everything in pairs today !!! Bluford auto parts box cars, two each of BN and ICG, two Atlas undec GP9s, and two Atlas undec RS-11s. Kind of a slow day !!!
Went down to Chuck's on Saturday to pick up the new Wheels Of Time PC&F box cars I ordered. Got a couple of WPs and an SP. Very nice! Also found a Micro Trains WP Centerbeam and an Intermountain ATSF Super Shock Control flat car.
FINALLY received my Kato GS-4 in American Freedom Train colors !!! My second steam engine ever !!! It's absolutely gorgeous !!! Can't wait to get this on the test track tomorrow !!!
A pair of the new Kato SD40-2's BN #7010 and 8023. they have some pretty fine handrails. and my B-day present SP&S E7A #750.
Tube of Elmer's Super Glue. A rather ordinary uneventful purchase at the supermarket along with the groceries, except that this purchase played a starring role in a photo shoot for a post about Common objects used for N scale: These super glue caps make fairly good n scale concrete box culverts.
Took the plunge and ordered all four of the Centralia SP&S coaches. Even at a discount they still are going to be the most expensive passenger cars I've ever shelled out money for. so I hope they turn out to be worth it both in detail and in the paint job.
I just picked up the latest release of Athearn n-scale 52ft gons...three RailGon's and one BN. Even though they're old tooling, they still hold up relatively well and at least now they have really nice decoration compared to years past...and also metal wheels and McHenry's. And, I noticed on FVM's Facebook page that my TXUX RD-4's are on the way....very cool!
Just received Con-Cor BN SW-1200 Cow & Calf. I have an extra chassis from a recent purchase, so I will power the calf. Been wanting to do this for many years. Kinda' hoping these don't run like my old 1200. I would run that thing against John Force any day !!!
