This is the American way isn't it? VOTE EARLY, AND VOTE OFTEN! LOL Need to expand the poll for steam, diesel, and other types.
Oops! I forgot Athearn. As well the general intent of the poll was to query who makes the best running n scale engine mechanism either steam or diesal.
Grant- No problem. Athearn is recent to N scale. With only one (?) engine so far, anyone wishing to cover that base, could use your "Other" category this time. Boxcab E50
Rick- What is it about Athearn N to which you allude? I do not yet know of anyone owning their first offering. So have heard nothing. Boxcab E50 [ 19. September 2003, 21:32: Message edited by: BoxcabE50 ]
It appears that Athearn only offers the F59 PHI Locomotive in a number of livery apporpriate for their Bombardier Bi-Level Commuter Cars. Both are nice lookers. We of course are polling the best engines by appearance and operation.
Athearn, I own 2 and voted "other" for them. No problems that a light touch on the throttle (or DCC speed table) won't cure. Candles not allowed here, something about fire codes... TUNNEL MOTOR CANDLELIGHT VIGIL, DAY 20 Faithful follower of the GP38-2 by Atlas crusade!
Well, no surprises here. Atlas and Kato are neck and neck for the best engines. Kato holds a slight lead. LifeLike is way behind. Most other manufacturers don't even show up on the radar screen. Thanks for your votes.
Boy have I been away too long, Athern has N scale now? are the hand rails as big as my middle finger? a 'Can' motor? LOL
I cannot vote the way the poll is configured. If I had to choose 1, I could. If I had to choose 3, I could. but alas, I'm asked to choose 2 and I can't choose 2.
