Wow, he built a center cab. Hey, we should round up the 'old days' people that aren't here and invite them.
Another loss for Conrail/New England modelers were the internal Digital Equipment Corp VAXnotes railfanning and model railroading forums. There was a massive amount of info on operations, consists, facilities, etc... there from the 1984 (or so) to 1995 (or so period). As far as I know, all of it is lost.
I just found a VHS tape FastJeff57 sent me some 12-13 years ago. As i recall, he had some health issues not long after that. Bob
Anyone remember "Blaine Bachman?" I just did a search and he is still writing train things. He is one of the early posters I remember.
Me too, Rob, since I think '96. I use the AOL client because I find I get relatively little spam. The fact that I can check all seven of my addys whenever I go on is a great feature as well. I read some of the forums, but the original Atlas was where I spent the most time. And I've been on the N_Scale mailing list since the early days as well - it's now N_Scale at Yahoo Groups, and is still one of the largest.
Thank you very much! He was always ready to help and I learned a lot from him as well as Russ Straw. Thanks guys!
I sent a message to Bob (OBL) to see if he wants to join. I found an old post on Atlas about Fasjeff, which unfortunately didn't sound too good. Apparently he said he had vision trouble and was not going to model anymore.
