I'm going to SW MO for Thanksgiving, and want to check out the KCS in the Neosho - Noel area while we're out there. I saw a thread elsewhere that said there was a Trains "Hotspots" article in the Jan 93 edition. I've saved all of my old magazines, and of course I started subscribing in March of 93 so I don't have that one. If anyone has one and would be willing to scan the article I'd be very grateful! Can anyone recommend any good spots in that area? I see there's a good looking trestle north of Noel, and the depot in Anderson looks pretty cool - any other recommendations would be much appreciated! Thx
If you can get to the diamond (the place where the BNSF and KCS cross), that might be good! The diamond is in Neosho. The diamond has a track where trains can cross from one line to the other.
