A guy on another forum put a pair of figures on his layout to see if people actually look at the details. It looks to be some kind of wrestling match in the park. I thought you guys would get a laugh out of this pic.
A fellow I knew used to hide various items around his layouts. It was always the same things, which were to no scale in particular. We'd have to look for them and see where he'd stashed them, each time we would visit. A flying saucer, a dinosaur and other items....
My LHS has a layout that shows a truck full of Monkeys getting into a accident and all the Monkeys have escaped. They tell you how many and it's up to you to search the layout from all sorts of angles to see if you can spot them all.
On BOTH of my club layouts we have "Can you find" cards that people grab and see of they can find all the items on the list. Some of the items include: Spotted dowels A tree struck by lightning Can you find Jimmy Hoffa (he is a cornerstone in our community) The Dancing clams (Ivars clams) A pack of Rainier beers (Rainbeers, Some of you might remeber those commercials LOL!) A roadkill (in the city, a lawyer. We know he is a lawyer as there are no skid marks and also there is no blood coming from him which means he is heartless) These are just some of the items we have to find on the layout. Ryan
A little kid stole a woman's bathing suit top while she was sunning and took off downs the beach waving it like a flag. She is in hot pursuit.
Watch this video and look very closely at 2:46. You will see all the Sunflowers.
Love that guy giving the boy the "touchdown" arm signal (Also can't wait for him to turn around and see his ladyfriend scowling at him)
On my original HO exhibition layout I had a guy urinating behind an old MOW boxcar in the yard, it was suppressing at how may people noticed it!
Right now I have.... a dozen sheep... A pullover scene with a cop writing a speeding ticket while the other one eats a donut.... 3 drunks falling out of a bar... A man under the hood of a pickup... An elk... an eagle... on top of a tree 2 bears checking out an unnoccupied tent while the occupants are busy railranning nearby.... Verne Niner's famous "N Scale Norm" and "N Scale Sue" sitting on their front porch in retirement... Several odd signs with 70's takeoffs, my favorite of which is "Only You can prevent Bears in Hats". and a photo to be added later when I find it!
