I was on Rokuhan's web page and they show a new train controller. How does this differ from the power pack?
Anybody know if Rokuhan wil develop any turnouts with American Style sleepers? The current version is not very prototypical with reference to the sleeper distance and I am hoping they will make something more prototypical in the future.
The RC002 Rokuhan Controller uses 4 x AAA batteries and has constant lighting feature. CL or Constant lighting puts an AC signal on the DC voltage to the track to light cars with this feature even when the train is stopped. It is a feature found on Tomix controller in N-scale and on Pro-Z controllers in Z scale. The added feature on the Rokuhan product over the Tomix and Pro-z train controllers is the AC voltage is not fixed so you can adjust it so your engine does not move until DC component of track voltage is present but your train cars are lit even when the train is stopped in a station or elsewhere on the layout. regards Garth
From the information I have no it is not likely in the near future. 7 ties to the inch or 25mm seems to be common to Peco, Marklin Crown, in addition to Rokuhan and is closer to Japanese Prototype. Only Micro trains has 10 ties per inch or 25mm. On the Rokuhan web site there is a link to a message page where you can communicate your wishes to Rokuhan and you could pose this question to Rokuhan and see what they say about it. refgards Garth
