This replica is an actual replica. it has link and pin couplers. It will be interesting to see if they can jury-rig something to allow them to pull some cars. :tb-biggrin:
Wow, This is good news. Maybe on a private track they can use the link and pin. Maybe there is a modern coupler on the tender we can't see??? I would like to see this moving whatever the situation is. Jim
I found videos on YouTube that show it in operation at Rock Island. There is NO coupler on the back of any kind. I've heard they are applying for FRA waivers to allow it to pull anything with a conventional knuckle. It does have an air compressor. The 'due date' for notification was today (8/2). The other thing that was pretty funny on YouTube was that it has a lot of riders - in the tender.
