I am looking to airbrush some wellcars in the Pacer Blue and decal them in the BRAN roadnumbers.

Can anyone tell me what color or mixture I should throw together to make the Pacer Stacktrain BLUE?

I used Color Match 1.0 and the closest hobby paint I found was Tamiya TS-44 Brilliant Blue (spray can).

Thanks for the vote of confidence Jan. :) Alas, the well cars I painted were the ex-APL 48 footers which were a significantly lighter shade of blue, like this:

The 53' well cars are new to BRAN and quite a bit darker. My strategy for situations like this is to buy 2-3 shades of the colour and try them out next to a photo. In this case I would recommend trying the Polly Scale shades:

    BAR Blue
    D&H Avon Blue
    Prussian Blue
and maybe CSX New Image Blue

    Good luck with it!

    My two cents worth.

As already noted by Gary Hinshaw, always check the military colors. There are a lot more of them than there are railroad colors. Also very good for painting structures.
