What say we have a modeling video challenge in June!? Deadline for submission will be June 30th. Just upload your video to your favorite video hosting site and post the link here. For the subject, take us on a quick Layout Tour! OR Show us a Switching Operation! And the rest is up to you! (One video per member) No restriction on when footage was recorded, however it must have been recorded by you. Yes, it's still May, but if you already have your video feel free to post.
And today is the first "official" day of the June Video Challenge! Cant record video? Slide-shows have taken 1st place before..
Rolling Through the Heartland Okay Mark, I'll be the first (victim:tb-shocked::tb-wink to post. Here's an musical tour of my N-scale layout (updated from last year): ROLLING THROUGH THE HEARTLAND
Switching on The DAV&P, no 7 puts her train away in the yard. Switching on The DAV&P, no 7 puts her train away in the yard. The Dunkirk yard is at the end of a point to point railroad, so trains must push there cars into the yard. A short runaround track just before the yard makes for some switching work for the crews, while they shuffle the cars about to get them in the yard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOUeWe8p9VA
This week we'll get a short break from our 4 part Galesberg series. Hopefully those 3 weeks of prototype challenges has allowed the modelers to get some great videos put together! Are those of you who plan to submit an entry getting things wrapped up now?
Mark, jsut saw this, gonna grab some vid tonight and try to throw it together during Galesburg. I may try the Galesburg Proto Photo, but I just expect there too be too many flippin' people for anything I could do. So one mostly populated Riley will be the subject. Because I can railfan it AND do train assembly...
David, when I click this link I get the error: The URL contained a malformed video ID. Sorry about that. Could you update the link for us?
Sorry about that--looks like the last character got chopped off. Here's the corrected link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24G4651Z4lg
Hi all...this video is about 18 months old now but does give an overview of the N scale C&W. http://youtu.be/uA5Z6f9BCYI Other videos on my Youtube site show more recent scenes but not an overview of the whole layout. Since this overview was shot, I have finished about 50 feet of scenery (including the snow scene at Farron pass) and there are another 20' which should be done within the next 2 months. I plan to post a better video in September but until then the video "chasing C liners" shows more but not all of the sceniced areas. http://www.youtube.com/user/markdance63 md
Well we have a tie between Bruce-in-MA, and Mark Dance, with dks2855 one vote behind. Do we congratulate both winners, or have a tie-breaker?
