We got a chance to get our hands on FVM's wagontop box car samples yesterday and snapped some pictures. The whole gallery can be found HERE.

I don't know enough about these to look at or for specific details. I will say there is going to be at least one on my layout, somehow!

As per usual; an awesome model from FVM and stunning photography by you, Jamie. Thanks for sharing this.

Those aren't the standard FVM wheelsets, are they? The wheel flange looks awful large!

On the bright side.. seeing how that is the only thing my eye is drawn to should say a lot about how beautiful this pre-production piece looks. ;) :D
I will have to get at least one for my layout as well, most likely using the TrainBoard Advertiser that posted above me. :)

These look like the FVM wheelsets with wider thread and also larger flanges, AKA FVM #3310.
I have used them (#3311) on the Bowser H21a hoppers that would tend to derail with the FVM 3302 wheelsets, probably due to rather rigid truck mounts. Now they work perfectly and the difference is not very obvious.

Since FVM want to sell their cars also to modelers with "normal" trackwork, I think this choice of wheel sets is reasonable.
