MT car transport load

anyone ever see one in existance at salvage yard,auction,on the main line in real life?
Interesting never the less?

 

I've never seen them on a Railcar, but I have seen them on Truck type auto carriers.
Where did you find that one at? Looks interesting and would go along with the Salvage Yard scenes Walthers has come out with of recent.

 

I think that you see (or not see) it not ON, but IN a box car . These loaders were in the "Automobile" box cars.
When the car equipped with these loaders was released, there were discussions about the modern car types and Joe said these were just what was available when he had to take the picture for the announcement.

P.S.: "modern car types" means automobile, not box car, just to be precise

I have a prototype Santa Fe damage claim that shows a cutaway view of two types of auto loading in an automobile box car where a claimant may show exactly where claimed damage occured. It will take a while but I will try to find it, scan it, etc and upload it...

 

How did they load and unload the cars?
