Ran across their site and wondered if anyone knows much about them?

Nope. They've tried to post 'come join us' type messages here a couple of times. Which we frown upon. Other than that, ???

I know they have doing a lot of reprints/reposts of old long out of print articles. Many of them very interesting.

I'm on it, it seems to look like "A Facebook for model railroaders/railfans," at least by the look of the UI. I do know it was co-founded by ExactRail CEO and co-founder John Pestana (he has a tech/software background), though I'm not sure whether TrainLife is directly affiliated with ExactRail.

There's not so much in the way of discussion at TrainLife as there is over here.

I have not really investigated them too much. I got a free 'T-Shirt' from them at the Naperville RPM.

I found the same; Facebook like venue, with an affiliation with ExactRail.

^ That and we tend to travel in packs.

Most of the guys over there are into the magazine reprints, as they're sorely missed. I've found each forum fits a niche certain modelers are looking for.

Sure of course! But it's kinda tough when they all live in other states/countries!

No different than here?? And you managed to meet up with a grouping on here.
It's no different than Facebook. Less lessons to be learned than here on TB.

I joined it and poked around some.I concur about a lot of old articles being available.I prefer the interaction here on TB.I belong to other forums about other topics, but none compare with the diversity, choices and ease of use that trainboard does.I feel as an N Scaler, there is no better forum.
