Just thought I would post a few pics of my new layout. Started this just after Christmas, but my camera wasn't working until today. I have most of the main line down and wired. I wanted to get my mountains roughed in so I can lay out the yard.

Just a quick update on my progess this week. I managed to finish off the rough plaster on the first mountain. I also ballasted the tracks entering the first mountain aswell. The main line track work is complete and about half of the yard is down. I hope to finish the yard track work this weekend and want to rough in the second mountain and tunnel aswell. With any luck I may get to installing the bus line too.

Interesting seeing how you've used the T pins. What length did you choose?

I'll double check but I think they are 2 or 2 1/2 inch. They work great, easy to use and cheap.

Looks great! Any chance of posting a track plan so we can see where you're headed?

I will try and get the track plan up soon. On to a bit of progress, I managed to finish the yard today, as you will notice from the first picture, the block of foam and the 3 turnouts on the left will be an engine service facility and car repair. The 3rd picture is of the town area that has the track not finished. That area is basically the last of the major track to be finished. I also got some more rough landscape built more pictures on that tomorrow.

So, all in all a pretty good weekend on the CL&E. I decided to try and get the high section between the mountains roughed in. I managed to get the rough landscape done and painted. Then I decided that I should ballast the tracks in this area as well. Next up is to start the process of making rock molds to fill the vertical face that has been left. I should be able to pump out enough through the week to finish the face. As for track laying, I am waiting on a order to arrival this week with track bed and a few other items.
