i know all you seasoned collectors and prototype builders will know this better than i do. ive been eyeing the latest wheels of time bi level announcements and really dig the caltrain and sp stuff. thing is i dont have the $ to get all of them.

im preordering the caltrain stuff for sure as i can always fall back on concor for the sp stuff (*shudder)

you guys think these will sell out like hotcakes? be nice if i can get the sp set at some point in time too.

First off, one or two cars could easily be a whole train in off-peak or weekend runs, at least in SP days.

Secondly, SP have been run before so you might find them on eBay or somewhere second-hand. And that includes the two-tone scheme.

One could guess WoT would re-run the two-tone gray scheme eventually. If you want to gamble and those cars fit your time frame, it would give you more time to save up for those.

That first Cal Train scheme is new. I would expect that to sell out quickly. That's because production nowadays for manufacturers is closely based on pre-orders; WoT is no different. And will someone give us motive power in the matching scheme?

I would recommend pre-ordering. I've found it very difficult to find specific WoT cars a few months after they arrive at dealers.

ok looks like theres a slim chance wot may rerun sp but like you guys said, the caltrain is a first run. i rather get that one first.

sure wish there was a sdp45 to pull those sp cars!

I'd pre-order. They did the SP cars 4-5 years ago, and I was never able to find some. I've learned to pre-order things that are a bit obscure. Take Kato's latest announcement of the SD70ACe. I'm pre-ordering the KCS units, but not the UP because I think those will be very easy to find. KCS is too unique to have mass appeal.

yea theres no way i can plop $200 plus on all 8 cars i want. priorities first, caltrain it is. just a shame no matching power to pull them. or maybe i can just grab 3 of the SPs. you guys know which #s will be a good mix? do some have those lavatory windows and some not?

i saw the first run of SP cars, wow those are gorgeous with the two tone and silver doors.
