There's been lots of discussion about Atlas's code 55 rail. I'd like to have used it but I've already laid most of my track a(code 80) and was wondering what people are planning to do on their layouts - rip out the Code 80? Lay code 55 on any additional track? Would both types look odd on the same layout?
Probably depends on how big your layout is. For a smaller layout tearing it all out would be the best bet. For larger layouts I would suggests completing the layout with code 55 and then when all the trackout is complete, replace the code 80 with code 55 one section at a time as time and money permit. I would not suggest living with half and half as the code 55 will make the code 80 look even worse than before. Daryl
