To my Trainboard friends. I don't want this to be lengthy so here is the condensed version. If you noticed I have not been on lately. I have been in the hospital due to a pretty rough health scare. I am going to be fine, but I will be in an assisted living center/rehab for about 6 months they estimate. To stop rumors from the start. No, I am not a drinker, or junkie. It's not that type of rehab. And no, I didn't kill anyone and going away to prison. It is a huge Obesity center in Ohio. Some of you know, I am a very large man at 6'5" tipping the scales at over 600 lbs. My health has been decining as I have now been getting older, and the good Lord slapped the hell out of me and put me in the hospital. Woke me up, and made me realize I need to change my health for my family. If any of you ever seen "Biggest Looser", it is sort of like that, but without all the drama and cameras. This place is going to be a Gateway of sorts for a new life for myself and my family. I am leaving this Sunday, and will probably have limited access to being on line. I will see you guys when I get back.

Good luck in losing the weight. I'm suppose to be going home next week. I've been in a hosp. setting since March. Try to stay in touch via a laptop. I'm renting 1 for $5.00 a day.

Will be praying for you Tudor! I'm sure losing some of that weight will make you feel better. I know in the heat we have been having down here in AL, a couple pounds makes a difference! :) Let us know how your doing when you can!

That IS scary! I don't know you well but I empathize with your situation... Good that you had the wake-up call and not worse.... I've been there as well. I was over 300lbs at 18 years old and only 5'8". VERY poor health. I have used the last decade to change this, and these days I am thankful I had the wakeup call too..... I would have been gone by 30! I hope you find the motivation you'll need to change what you must. Stay well, and if there's anything that I know to be true, it's this: with effort, better health can be had long before weight loss- so keep at it and stay positive! Take care....

Tudor, I have been out working on losing some pounds, too. Keep your attitude positive and don't let any setback discourage you from getting back on "the program" and losing some more pounds. Already, I have had to take in my belt a bit, I feel lighter on my feet, and I have more energy.

Hoping all the best to you, Tudor. This is a serious threat to your life, let alone it's quality. I admire your determination, and will keep you in my thoughts...certainly your family and all your friends here stand with you and support your meeting of this challenge. Looking forward to your positive progress reports, when possible. All the Best ! Bob C.
