Ken, Yeah, I wouldn't mind picking up #5517 as well, but I've been waiting for Atlas to come out with their Soo Line SD60s (really, they're SD60s, heh), but the arrival date keeps getting pushed back, which is ok I guess since I've been broke anyway. I figure there'll always be something in SP to buy, but classic red & white Soo doesn't come by that often.
The latest off my line, BNSF GP39E 2754, I still need to add the center wipers (ran out at the last moment). It has every other detail I could fit on it, plus an MRC sound decoder... and it sounds great!
My latest BN and DOT U30C Broadway Limited Rio Grande ALCo PA's, with DCC/Sound Bachmann GE 44T switcher
You ever dream to have some special paint scheme or, like a prototype ....? It's now possible whit the help of a great "N"artist like JEff KIng... I wanted to have as much closer as possible that last Lionel edition of "O" scale NS Conrail Heritage but with a "real touch".... See what i have got by my friend.... I like to take advantage of this public scene to tell a big thanks a lot to Jeff for his amazing work..!! Well done my friend..!! GUy
JSL they are way cool and we just got 3 more that had been lost at Walthers. Thanks for sharing , Mike
Here's mine: Even though I love that beautiful Kato paint job this SD70ACe is going to be rebuilt into a NS SD70M-2.
My entree into the world of N scale started out with some Nn3 Dever & Rio Grande Western Locomotives and Rolling stock to run on my Z scale, but my first true N scale Locomotives are a pair of Southern Pacific MT-1 and a GS-4. ;-) So You might start seeing me hanging around here more often in the future.
Father's Day Present! Here is my newest engine, Super-turbine #30. I noticed that a LHS in Denver had this in their brass section at a very good price. I showed it to my wife, who replied "Keep wishing!" and the next day called them and bought it! Here are a few photos of it rolling out of Mount Kraft. I like to mock up my scenery in Kraft paper and run the layout for a awhile before I commit to building it in plaster. If this formally belonged to another Trainboard member, Thanks for fulfilling my dream! It has a great home now and I'll run it with pride!
Got two Bachmann engines yesterday, a second GP7 and a third H16/44. Both run very well, especially the GP7. Now it is on me to renumber the engines. The Pennsylvania GP7s should both be renumbered since Bachmann used a number that was asigned to a SW9 :tb-confused: I bought them at the "15% off summer sale" of a big ebay vendor, this was a very good buy.
Hadn't planned on buying any motive power soon, but while down in Nashville yesterday, I went looking for hobby shops instead of railfanning as a way to beat the heat. I was rewarded with three L&N engines(which I bought) that I've had trouble finding, even online. L&N #1407, I've yet to install the front/rear handrails on this unit. L&N #501 L&N #504. Came close to winning this on that auction site a few months ago, but lost the winning bid with 30 seconds left. I was mad at myself that night, but I'm glad I've made up for it. Pictures taken with a cell phone, quality isn't the greatest. Guess I'll pay these off while searching for more L&N power I don't have. I do need to find some coal hoppers at some point in L&N paint, can't just have a bunch of engines and little else.
My 2 newest... both Bachmann C40-8CW's. Conrail 6059 I just installed a dcc decoder in, it's ready to go. Undecorated I intend to paint up in CSX like this: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1021539
