Did a search on the new engine numbered (3783) and it is listed as a new item by Bmann. Other than DCC, wondering if the mechanism has been updated?
I got the same 3783 back for the 3780 I sent in. Its just the one that goes in the cheap bachmann train sets. Its not one of their good spectrum engines. One of the big suppliers sells it for $69.95, I have no idea what bachmann gets for it or ifyou can even buy it from'em.
Bachmann sells it themselves for 137.00 !! :tb-wacky::tb-rolleyes: Etailers are selling it in to 60.00 to 80.00 range. Cheap enough and it does run. :thumbs_up: .
Not being a steam guy...and running mine...I can see steamers being noisy. With all that running gear on the OUTSIDE! Run diesels...all the noisy stuff is INSIDE...and less of it to make noise...LOL :tb-tongue: * I have to admit...all them rods and 'stuff' flailing away does looks kinda cool. :tb-cool: ** Besides...T.H.E. Wife likes it...so I am stuck with it anyways...LOL :tb-shocked: .

I've been waiting for these beauties for about a year and a half. They finally came in and to say the least, I am very impressed. 1st intermountain locomotives in my livery and they both look and run beautifully. Good thing because I have 2 more on order! Then I found this lonely little guy online for around $50 so had to make room for him!! I had a spare decoder so there wasn't any shelf time before he started pulling his own weight. Brian

Jason, InterMountains? I've seen some SP ones on ebay, but they were more expensive than that, that sounds like a pretty good price! (If they have any leftovers, you may have to let me know, haha)
Got an Atlas C420 about a week ago and repainted/decaled it in LA&L colors (overall black with yellow trim and lettering). I just won a LifeLike C424 which will also be redone in LA&L colors & decals. I researching which decoder to cram into it, TCS CN is looking like the way to go. Dave
I have pm'd a link to them for you,Im pretty sure he has a heap of them still for sale,been going off like hot cakes for the last month or 2 at least! The SP/CB are going for the $34 mark while the DRGW are going for around the $50 mark.Still great prices I tink...... Also,he is selling the IM shells only for $9.90!!!!
