    After starting quite a few projects and never getting them done, I finally managed to almost finish one. Only the lighting and the weathering are left to do.

    This was the first project I did which involved building parts out of styrene (snowshields, steps, sand hatch and ditch lights mounts) and decaling. It is also my second try at painting with an airbrush.

    Here are a few pictures of the build and the (almost) complete unit.

    I decided not to strip the factory paint off to allow the original safety strips and multimarks to show up a bit.

    I have one question though. When I sprayed a second coat of flat finish to cover some additional painting, the clear part of the decal film showed up. Is there a way to remedy that issue?

    try putting some mircosol on the decals. that should make the film dissipate.
