Sure looks like it would be top heavy. I guess they had different ideas in the long ago.

Same thought I had Ken, but they had over 300 of them.

It's also been a while since I'd last seen anyone mention a Silver Streak kit.

    Nice work, Andy!

It looks a lot different in 3D form than it does in the book photos. My family up in the holler in TN would consider a two story house...or a condo...on wheels..that way when the fuedin' starts, you can move on.

Ken, I don't know the exact date of the kit but the instructions were printed in 1948.

Mark, When I seen the picture of it and how close to the kit it was I just had to have one.

I know...I want a 28' and a few others....but alas, it will be via the Evergreen Styreneyard and the box of details. Still working on the 1/87 dry hopper seat...and that toilet paper holder.

Ha ha. I presume it will be appropriately weathered to show decades of heavy use? :D

Thanks! I needed that. I was thinking on acquiring a couple of sets of Faller's LARD-BUTT MIDWESTERNER figure series, and then carefully use them to burnish down the seat-two cheeks at a time.

PS-Sorry, Andy..don't mean to hijack the post.
