Reposted from the Atlas Website ======== Atlas Model Railroad Company and Atlas O, LLC will be closed for our annual summer vacation from Thursday, June 27 through Monday, July 15, 2002. Our product development staff is busy with train conventions, and taking well-deserved time off, and will not be available to monitor the forum. As a result, the forum will be closed during vacation time. We will reopen the forum the week of July 15, 2002. Thank you for your continued interest and support of Atlas. Sincerely, Atlas Model Railroad Company Atlas O, LLC ========= Thank goodness for Train Board eNjoy
We are open for business 24 hours a day seven days a week . It's a shame we didn't have warning about the Atlas forum otherwise we could have spread the word about Trainboard.
Don't look it as a problem, look at it as an opportunity. An opportunity to increase your rating on trainboard!!!!
It's also an opportunity to explore some of the other forums out there (this one included, of course). Here's a list, partial I'm sure: The Gauge Railroad Line Bachmann Trains Train Orders RR Depot I have my own favorites, you'll probably have different ones, but they all have something to offer. Any others out there?
Steamguy Here!!!!! I am new to trainboard but can type ("keyboard") fast enough to serve two masters!!! Glad to see you other felllow lAtlas Forum Chronics, er regular contributors, here. Hey, eveybody needs a vacation!!!! Glad to be here. Threat: you'll be hearing more from me!!! Ken "Steamguy" Willaman

Steamguy, Welcome to TrainBoard..... we don't close for "vacations" (althought I just got back from one... ) I for one welcome all Atlas forum posters and hope you feel comfortable enough with us to stay for the long run! Why don't you tell us a little about yourself and your interests? Harold [ 29 June 2002, 01:53: Message edited by: chessie ]
ken, Welcome to trainbaord it is always a pleasure to welcome new members. Atals forum is a good site and I visit often the advantage of trainboard is there are more topics than just modelling. This site is almost moderated 24 hours a day due to the globla family we have here. So any questions or problems can be handled immediately. You will find trainbaord a friendly place to visit. I look forward to seeing you post. Once again welcome to Trainboard.
Well, Johnnie C, you've come to the right place! All the RR pleasure without the ! We're about as flame-free as you can get these days, and all pretty friendly. So take a look around, check it out, feel free to kick the tires, and take 'er out for a test spin!
Another refugee and multiple-offender from Atlas.... *wonders if anyone wants to do an evil 'Accomodations' thread here since Dad told us we couldnt play that game anymore before he went on vacation...* Just kidding guys, just kidding!!!!
There is also a rather new forum for all Sorts of RRing threads at www.RailroadForums.com This forum started les than 4 months ago and has 250 member already with a great Photo section. Check it out it is free very few ads.
Well for all of us atlas refugees, here are some topics sure to stir things up a bit BLW, Code 55 MT Low pro wheels
You forgot the DCC Borg..... Not to mention the latest misadventures of Pinky and the Rob... [ 04 July 2002, 03:36: Message edited by: John Kleperis ]
Here is something for all you Atlas refugees to think about. While the Atlas forum is down what new topics is Rob "da Rebel" conjuring up to post once the forum is back?
Inkaneer - that' s a scary thought I am surprised that there isn't more activity on this or other boards as a result of Atlas being down. But as HermanZGerman said - maybe we are actually getting some things done
Don't know about this forum but at The Gauge it seems that there has been a ton of new registrants. I'd bet that's the case here, but how can you tell?
