Alan, any idea on an ETA, these are exactly what I am looking for. A CNR passes the back of our area at least twice a day with these types of rail cars. Count me in for a few of these. Thanks </font>[/QUOTE]The etches should turn up any day now, so I guess I had better get the castings stocked up and the literature and website pages ready!
Russ, I used Microscale sheet #60-788 which is actually a Thrall sheet, but the TTX logos looked too large so I used ones from sheet #60-747. I printed a selection of road numbers on my Alps to include with the kit.
Hey Chris, I did some of Alan's Maxi III kits, and if I can do it, ANYBODY can! I'm the guy Alan uses to test if his kits are idiot proof!
looking good alan ! in case you need a beta-tester shoot me an email ... otherwise i will order a few sets.
Dave, these cars were introduced from late 1997, 286 3-unit cars were built as DTTX 400000-400285. William, as far as I can ascertain, the hitches were removed from around 2001 onwards, I think they were removed quite quickly, so the cars ended up as COFC only. It seems that the wells can carry up to 53ft trailers.
Oh, maaaan! My era is 1995. . . and I'm really trying to stay true to my era. . . but these sure are SWEET ! ! !
Sweet! I've gotta get some. After more DODX cars. After more tanks for DODX cars. After another set of spines. After trailers for more spines. $$$$$!
You have some of my $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I just ordered 2 of these cars. I think this will be interesting. Joe
i know cp rail had some.....unfortunately i'm not able to find any pics ..... any help ? as soon as i got enough information about the cp rail versions of these cars i'm ready to order.....
I have seen pics of 48ft well cars on CP I think, but not sure if they had the all purpose ones. I have lots of photographs of 53ft CP well cars, which I also intend making
