This is my first time posting in the "Model Railroad" section so if this post does not belong here, please inform me.

Anyways, I will be kitbashing a certain passenger train that all the cars, minus the diner, will be kitbashed from the Rivarossi 12-1 sleeper. I am looking for SEVEN of the sleepers. I dont care if the paint is chipped or missing grap irons or anything. I would like it if the underbody is mostly intact and has a good body with no cracks. I am willing to buy them...but for a REASONABLE amount. :tb-biggrin: Thanks!

    Dear Aaron,

You will also want to check out the International Hobby Corporation version of these cars. They are made from Rivarossi molds but are newer production. I would be concerned that some of the really old Rivarossi stuff would be starting to suffer from plastic breakdown. I checked on the E bid site, and found the price for the IHC cars ranging from $11-17 new. One dealer had 10 different version of the 12-1 for sale. The Rivarossi cars I see usually go for the same prices, if not more for certain road names.

    Happy kitbashing!

    Mark
