So just in case you Pennsy fans thought I'd gone over completely to the blue side, I had my boys help me swap eras tonight on the N Scale Juniata Division. I took some quick grabs with the camera (no staged shots) just for fun. Please excuse the lack of backdrop. A stray E8 finds itself in the freight diesel pit tracks at Enola behind an RF16B. An L1s prowls the yard while a hotshot is ready to head westward on a departure track.
A pair of GP9s idle on the westbound departure track ready for clearance from DAY tower to proceed to BANKS.
Meanwhile the eastbound Broadway Limited races into the dawn through East Mifflin: ...and an H10sb brings a local through Lewisport:
Great pics and absolutely fantastic scenery and detailing. I hope my layout will look that good one day.
That's so nice it makes me weep. I'm selling off the bulk of my N-scale stuff, and that includes a lot of PRR stuff. Seeing your layout makes it even harder, but I need to stay strong. What's hard is knowing it is for good, because I'll never have the time to go around and collect all this stuff again. Your layout looks amazing. Congratulations and great work!
great layout i have an Pennsy 2-8-8-2 from life like i would love to run on that pulling a string of coal cars
Dave, Looks great! Love all the detail. Thanks for sharing Pennsy with us. Having lived in Harrisburg, that brings back memories. Michael
I saw this post on the Atlas Forum this morning as well. Incredible! I love the Pennsy too. The part that is really amazing is that it is N Scale. I have been starring at these photos and I can't believe they aren't HO or even O Scale. Nice work.
Kinda like when I was taking photos... ...with backgrounds but opposite? This is just a public service to remind you that summer is here. Nice trains too Dave. Actually, I am interested in the work you did to tone down the RF-16 grilles. You swab paint in or airbrush? I considered -Ahwwww- who makes 'em, grilles to cover- but- your units look good for N. Mark P.S. Yes, I am the copyright owner of the photo (in case a mod gets a bug).
