first head to head battle

Looks like FVM is going to do the Demonstrator gevo unit also. I wonder who will win between FVM and Kato? I can't remember a time we have had 2 companies releasing the same unit around the same time. I am sure it has happened before but it hasn't happened in a while.

 

The same but different. Kato is doing the AC version, FVM is doing the DC version.

 

I'm buying both, as they're different. If they were the same model I'd send my money to FVM. I'm impressed with what they've done in the few years they've been in business, and feel they should be rewarded. :bear-smile:

 

I just pre-ordered the Kato from Fiferhobby.

 

I will be getting both. It will be my first FVM engine. I hope it's a good one.

Didn't Kato and Atheran do SD70's around the same time?

 

Intermountain & Micro-Trains released FT's at the same time.

 

Kato and IM also crossed markets with each other on the F-3 and F-7's.

 

I am sorry, Maybe I should have said it's been a while since they came out with engine's that I am interested in head to head.

 

No need to be sorry. Heck, I was only aware of the PA's myself. You know sometimes that lightbulb doesn't come on when you flip the switch.
