    Hi Group
I am currently involved in re-evaluating my train control and accessory power system. What I have is one MRC Control Master 20, an AristoCraft wireless control with a separate power supply and probably two DC power supplies for tortoise switch power. I don't like the AristoCraft controller because it looses the program occasionally and it is difficult to get reprogrammed. The MRC Control Master 20 is OK but kind of noisy. If I were to go that way I would need two more. I can't help but wonder what kind of racket its going to put out with three running at once. I would like to see what type analog controllers are out their besides the two I have mentioned in this post.

It would be nice to have one power source and three throttles for the train controls, a small power supply for LED lights and effects and maybe a separate power supply for controlling the tortoise switch motors. Anyway I hope some of you might be able to understand my dilema and suggest some remedies or ideas. I am very interested in seeing how some of you are doing this so photos are welcome. I have started out with two photos of my power and control system (attached Riv sub) shows the analog block and switch control sub panel, and (attached Power center) shows a very messy power center that I hope to improve with some ideas from this group. Let me see what you are using for power and (for a lack of better words) the housekeeping of the wire and power bus routing. Thanks to those who have participated in my previous posts. You guys are great. I look forward to what you will come up with for this one.

How old is your Control Master 20? The newer ones don't have the fan in them for cooling and are nearly silent (slight transformer buzz). I have two, one older fan cooled and one newer without the fan. What a difference!

Check this 20amp power supply out they make them up to 50amps if you feel the need. I bought mine 10 years ago an have not a problem with it. Its highly regulated and filtered and is suitable for high end amateur radio and sensitive electronics. I use mine to power all my digatrax's gear and all my other stuff with just this one supply. hope this helps you if you look you can find used one very reasonble ~AlanC.

    Another MRC CM20

Is the Control Master 20 still available from MRC? I could not find it at their web site.
