I'm building the Atlas kit "Kate's colonial home" structure. I'm puzzled because the 2nd floor walls ( # 10, 11, 12 and 13 ) have some tabs that don't make sense to me. Any idea about what those tabs/pins are for ? Jacques
Hello, Jacques, I don't know the kit but my guess is that they are nothing more important than bits of "flash", to be ignored (or to be cut off and smoothed in the same way as when you cut the part from the sprue). Regards, Pete
yup...cut em off. I had the same nubs on a number of other kits. If you arent going to have anyone looking inside the building...and the dont interfer with anything...you could just leave em...JMO .
Thanks Seated Viper ( Pete ) , campp, mtntrainman for taking some of your valuable time to reply, That's my guess too, those tabs are just a consequence of the molding injection process. Anyway I asked the question right from the horse mouth ( Atlas Forum ). Jacques
Thank you N-builder for taking some of your valuable time to reply. Maybe I could use those tabs to make some N scale oil drum charcoal barbecues. Jacques
