I'd be willing to settle for a drop in N scale decoder that fits in modern diesels with generic sounds and even at MRC price but which actually works reliably. So bring on any alternative the MRC decoders that fits the bill. I have MRC N scale sound decoders in a few locos and getting them to run consistently is not easy (or for me possible). Now I just let them idle somewhere and provide backround noise while I operate a non sound decoder equipped loco.
Not a bad price for this from what it looks like. Will these only work on specific locomotives or all?
