Wow sound + ditch lights that is sweet. Were these factory installed? What kind of sound decoder is in this, where's the speaker? Looks awesome!

    Hi Greg,
The Decoder is the LokSound Micro with 2 0.5" speakers milled and sealed into the frame fuel tank. A custom sound project was loaded. The stock headlight and rear light were replaced with surface mount LEDs custom tinted to a warmer white. The light tubes were also modified to provide better light output. The ditch lights are also custom tinted surface mount LEDs added to modified stock light tubes. They are DCC controlled.
I must say that the loco does sound much better in person than on the video. :tb-rolleyes:

Thanks! Had fun making this one. Got the focus a bit better but the sound still needs work. The new camera has a mic input jack so I guess a microphone will be on my future gift list.

Thanks for the postback. That's a real nice engine. I just got my first N-Scale engine with sound (An Athearn F45 with Tsunami Decoder) it's great. Want to get all sound or start converting from here on out. Where did you get the frames milled at?

We do our own frame milling for the sound packages.
