I received Tony Brucia's gift this week. I wanted to wait for Christmas before opening it, but Tony wanted me to see it right away. Well, the layout its amazing. The layout is based on a tow in the middle of the oval. I like how Tony arrange the streets and decorated the city with flowers and statues. He aso added a MRC DCC sound to the layout, and I used one of Lajos experimental DCC batterie powered controller to run the suitcase layout. Now, the whole set up is portable. I took some pictures and I hope you like it as much as I do.
Wow! The craftsmanship and attention to detail is extraordinary. It looks like the store with the window front is even detailed with figures inside. The mission-style false front stores and palm trees really give it a SoCal feeling. You have a wonderful friend who is a very talented artist. I'm drooling for it like Homer for a donut:thumbs_up:
Hey John... he's right... there are people in the older victorian store at the end of the street... a little hard to see without the lights in the building on, but their in there. Enjoy it my friend!!! Tony B... Wasatch Z Club:tb-cool:
Joe, this a totally different layout. I cant find my ruler, but I say its 12x12. Its a little bit bigger then my shadow box layout in lenght and width, but its a lot taller. Here is a overview shot and a comparison shot.
